After an association assessment and feedback gathering from key stakeholders, NAAIA is proud to launch Vision 2030, our roadmap to drive NAAIA’s growth and expanded social impact.
Vision 2030 is NAAIA’s strategic roadmap for the future, representing a comprehensive approach to diversifying the industry’s talent landscape at every level. Vision 2030 is more than an aspiration; it’s a blueprint for transforming the way we nurture, invite, develop, and advance underrepresented talent in the insurance industry.
Vision 2030 embodies a commitment to realizing an inclusive industry where diversity is celebrated, barriers are dismantled, and equity is embedded at every level, contributing to innovation, creativity, and sustainable growth within the insurance sector by the year 2030.

The Business Case for Transition:
As part of the assessment that developed Vision 2030, we have refined our membership value proposition in three areas:
- Become Your Best Self – Gain insights from industry experts through webinars, roundtables, and conferences.
- Access Your Network – Membership opens doors to dynamic programs, mentorship opportunities, and leadership roles.
- Grow Your Career – Our career fairs, job postings, and partnerships will help connect you to your next opportunity.
The fulfillment of this value proposition is represented by its theme, “NAAIA, Now Wherever You Are!” Programming consistency, a higher frequency of touchpoints, and quality of engagement are what our members report as a vital part of their NAAIA experience.
A key part of the Vision 2030 is fully activating One NAAIA, our association guidance on operating standards of excellence.
In 2024, NAAIA introduced Impact Pillars, our integrated programmatic framework for inclusive leadership, social impact and operational excellence.
- Nurture: creating an ecosystem that addresses the holistic well-being of Black communities, fostering a sense of access and trust.
- Invite: ensuring inclusivity by actively inviting and encouraging Black individuals to explore and pursue careers in insurance and risk management.
- Develop: investing in continuous learning opportunities that empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed for career advancement.
- Advance: accelerating the pathways towards a diverse and representative leadership landscape.

This move supports our Vision 2030, a strategic roadmap designed to engage communities of color and empower Black professionals in the insurance industry. It ensures that no matter where you are, NAAIA is there to support your growth and success.
The NAAIA Florida Chapter is transitioning from a statewide chapter to regional, city-based chapters. This change includes the formation of NAAIA South Florida Chapter, NAAIA Orlando Chapter, NAAIA Tampa Bay Chapter, and NAAIA North Florida Development.
These changes are part of Vision 2030, NAAIA’s strategic roadmap to engage communities of color and empower Black professionals in the insurance industry. By localizing chapters, NAAIA aims to increase accessibility and enhance the membership experience with more frequent and high-quality programs in regional areas.
The new chapters include:
- NAAIA South Florida Chapter: Serving members in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Boca Raton.
- NAAIA Orlando Chapter: Serving members in Orlando, Altamonte Springs, Kissimmee, Winter Garden, and Sanford.
- NAAIA Tampa Bay Chapter: Serving members in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Bradenton, and Lakeland.
**NAAIA North Florida Development**: Serving members in Jacksonville and Tallahassee.
The transition will occur in phases over the next year. The announcement will be made in September 2024, with the chapters becoming fully independent and operational by September 2025.
NAAIA is planning tailored announcements for chapter leaders, partners, members, and the insurance industry community. A second town hall will be held in October 2024 to discuss the transition, and board of director applications will open in October 2024, with leaders selected by February 2025.
Members can expect continued communication and support throughout the transition. NAAIA Florida Chapter will operate as usual until March 2025, and members will be given clear instructions on how to select their new chapter in February 2025.

No changes will be made to the benefits or programs you enjoy as a member of NAAIA. The programs and opportunities you’ve come to rely on will remain exactly the same. This transition is designed to enhance your experience, bringing you even more localized support while maintaining the full range of resources, networking, and educational opportunities that make NAAIA membership so valuable.
